What is Secret PRO?
Secret PRO by Cutera is a fractional CO2 laser. It creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which prompts collagen renewal and resurfaces the upper layers to refine texture and tone. It can be customised from a light CO2 peel to deeper resurfacing. The same platform also delivers Secret RF microneedling, so we can treat with CO2 alone or combine the two when your skin needs work at both depths.
We offer Secret PRO in Coleraine and Derry/Londonderry for acne scarring, fine lines, loss of firmness, enlarged pores and dull, sun-damaged skin on the face and neck. For a lighter option with less downtime, we may suggest Secret RF microneedling on its own.

Preparation
Your skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied for your comfort. You will wear protective eyewear throughout the treatment.

Your practitioner uses RF microneedling, the CO2 laser or both, adjusting depth and energy to each area. Most people feel warmth and light pressure.
Aftercare and results
Expect a few days of redness and a rough, sandpaper-like feel as your skin recovers. Daily SPF is essential, and results build over the following months.

Does Secret PRO hurt?
A numbing cream is applied beforehand, so most patients describe the sensation as warm with light pressure rather than painful. We check on your comfort throughout.
How much downtime should I expect?
Lighter treatments usually mean a few days of redness and a rough, sandpaper-like texture. Recovery from deeper resurfacing can take up to a week. We give you detailed aftercare advice, including daily SPF, and suggest you plan around important social events.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients see results after 1 to 2 treatments. The number depends on your skin, your concerns and how much downtime suits you, and we will agree a plan with you at your consultation.
When will I see results?
Your skin looks fresher once the initial recovery settles, and results continue to build for weeks and months as new collagen forms beneath the surface.
What is the difference between Secret PRO and Secret RF?
Secret RF and Secret PRO are two different treatments. Secret RF is radiofrequency microneedling, which works beneath the surface and has a shorter recovery. Secret PRO is a fractional CO2 laser that resurfaces the skin itself, which makes it well suited to scarring, texture and sun damage. They can be booked separately or combined.
Is Secret PRO suitable for all skin types?
CO2 laser resurfacing needs careful assessment, particularly for darker skin tones, a recent tan, pregnancy or a history of poor healing. We check your suitability at your consultation before recommending any treatment.
Can I combine Secret PRO with other treatments?
Yes. MediLux LED therapy after treatment can help calm redness and support healing, and polynucleotides or skin boosters can further improve skin quality. We will plan the timing with you.
